Bethany Hamilton who survived a shark attack when she was 13 proves she's a pro surfer, though she's six months pregnant she bravely hit the waves in Kauai, Hawaii.

The 25-year-old pro surfer has been spotted bare foot and wearing a black bikini which accentuated her baby bump on Friday March 13, Daily Mail reports.

In an exclusive interview with People, Bethany revealed that she tries not to use her pregnancy as an excuse not to surf and plans to be on board until her eight month of pregnancy.

"My mom surfed all through her pregnancy," she told People.

"I'll probably keep riding until about eight months."

Meanwhile, US Weekly adds that Hamilton stays in shape during pregnancy thru surfing "one to five hours in two session", and "various lunges and squats and some explosive versions."

Hamilton and her youth pastor husband announced last month in a pre-recorded interview in their Hawaii home that they were expecting their first baby together.

"In baby terms I'm about 22 weeks, which is about halfway there," Hamilton said on the interview. "It's been a pretty crazy last four months finding out that we're going to be parents. Life's kind of going to be changing and kind of just started to prep for bringing a new little being into the world,"

Dirk also happily revealed the gender of their baby and adds that they were still looking for boy names, but they already have a few on their minds.

When Hamilton was asked on how she'll keep up on motherhood, she said that she'll figure it out and be creative.

"Motherhood with one arm, I kind of think about it," she continued.

"I kind of forget that I have one arm, a squirming baby and changing diapers and just me could be really challenging but I think how I live life now I just adjust and adapt to different things and I'll find my own ways to take care of the baby."
