Major Scoop On CW TV Series 'The Flash': Is [Spoiler] Really Dead? Here's The Answer

If you haven't seen last night's episode, walk away now as this post is full of "The Flash" TV series spoilers.

"The Flash" returned last night after almost an eternity of break. It came back with huge revelations and death of a fan favorite.

The last 10 minutes was both amazing and excruciating for fans. First, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) realizes he is capable of time travel. It was shown earlier in the episode but then it happened again. His speed brought him into the exact same place and time while creating a protection wall for Central City against the tsunami created by the Weather Wizard.

Then there is the biggest revelation of the night, that Tom Cavanagh's Prof. Harrison Wells is the Reverse Flash and he is comic staple Eoabard Thawne from the future.

Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) grew suspicious of Wells and to feed his curiosity, he investigated the professor. His hints were right.

However, before he got out of the room, Wells came in, out of his wheelchair. From that moment, Cisco knew he is going to die because of that very dark secret he discovered about the Reverse Flash.

Wells confessed he really liked his protege but he did what he had to do. He killed Cisco. Is the funny STAR Labs scientist gone for good? Cavanagh shares a major "The Flash" TV series spoiler about this.

"Wells killed a dead guy," said Cavanagh in a report by Comicbook.com. So what does that mean? Cisco, who in the comics will eventually become vibe, just got more mysterious.

"It's not a big deal. But, there's a genuine affection between them. That is not fake. In the current time, Thawne is truly invested, truly cares about Cisco, and is truly impressed by him. When we saw the two of them meet, he was on his side. From the moment, he knew this guy had a spark. Wells/Thawne is smart enough to go, 'This guy has it,' and he's smart enough to bring him on board because he's truly a wunderkind."

Cavanagh added that the major "The Flash" TV series villain is seeing himself in Cisco.

"There's a protégé-mentorship thing happening. There's genuine affection when he says, 'You've shown me what it's like to have a son,' he's not saying it idly. He means it. At the same time, the guy has gotta get home."

Now, on the question if Cisco is indeed dead, fans are probably aware by now that he will live. The Paleyfest showed him interacting with the Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) from Arrow-verse. One theory fans have is that Barry will be able to save him since the Scarlet Speedster was able to return to a time before Cisco was killed by Reverse Flash.

"The Flash" TV series will return next week for the episode "Rogue Time" wherein Captain Cold and Heatwave will return to Starling City but now with a third ally.
