Over the course of its first season, "Empire" has featured a lot of music royalties.
There's Jennifer Hudson, Courtney Love, Patti LaBelle, Snoop Dogg and more. This is in addition to the fact that the lead "Empire" TV series cast is already star-studded.
The musical hip-hop drama is set to return for a second run by next year and right now, its producers and creator are already solidifying their line-up of guest stars. Next could be the biggest of all when talking about hip-hop genre.
In an interview with Billboard, producer Brian Grazer says he is now working to convince Eminem to become a part of the "Empire" TV series cast next season. He said he is going to "beg" the multi-awarded rap artist to join him, as well as media mogul Oprah.
"Eminem, I know, loves our show," he explained. "And I produced 8 Mile. I'm going to beg him to get on our show. He and Oprah Winfrey. Somehow I'm going to get one or both of them on our show."
If ever he agrees to join the "Empire" TV series cast, Eminem will join a wide range of hip-hop artists that already had gigs in the show like Snoop Dogg and Timbaland who is working behind for the songs.
Aside from Eminem, creator Lee Daniels is courting other top-billed artists like Denzel Washington. In an interview before the first season ends, Daniels revealed he already had talks with the action star to join the "Empire" TV series cast and he is positive about it.

"Denzel hasn't done television in 30 years. But he saw the pilot and said, 'I've got to be a part of this," the "Empire" creator also told Philadelphia Inquirer.
"Empire" TV series cast is lead by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. Also starring are Trai Byers, Jussie Smollett and Brysheere Gray.
