While there hasn't been any official announcement, Vito Scaletta's voice actor Rick Pasqualone might have just teased a "Mafia 3" release date on Twitter.

Pasqualone who reportedly answered a fan via Twitter teased that he "might have some 'Mafia' news very soon."

Video Games Blogger also claimed that the action game "is in the late stages of development and ready for its official reveal soon."

And while fans are patiently waiting for the official announcement from 2k Games, rumors sparked that Vito Scaletta is said to return in the sequel, noting that since Pasqualone was the one who teased the game it's most likely that he's still involved with the franchise.

In addition to the Vito, could Joe be the new lead of the "Mafia 3?"

Basing on the last sequel's ending, Joe has headed a different path from that of Vito's indicating that there's a big chance for him to take on the lead and seek revenge from Leo and Vito.

While news about the progress and release date of "Mafia 3" has been really scarce previous report from IGN suggest that the new setting would take place in Louisiana.

"The trio of Louisiana natives are Franklin, Tony and Mickey," the publication claimed. "Franklin is in his early 20s, and 'knows how to get a job done at any cost.' Tony is in his early 30s, and is apparently 'a genius with numbers and statistics who runs sports betting operations.' Finally, Mickey is in his late teens, who 'likes to run his mouth' and acts as a street hustler. Sadly, he can't back his big talk up with much."
