Will A ‘CSI Las Vegas’ Renewal Still Happen? Will The Cast Of Long-Running CBS Show Sign Up For One More Season?

Even with "CSI Cyber" holding the fort, viewers of the CBS police-procedural are starting to wonder if they will see a "CSI Las Vegas" renewal.

The fate of the long-running CBS show could go either way, according to previous reports. Even its spinoff, which focuses on crime being done on a cyber level, is reportedly getting not-so-stellar numbers.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the "CSI Cyber" and "CSI Las Vegas" renewal could go "either way."

The CBS show was already cut down to just 15 episodes last season. It was also moved to a Sunday night showing which was often interrupted or delayed by football games.

Another indication that avid viewers might not see another "CSI" season is Ted Danson's apparent end of contract from the show. He is also already working on the second season of FX' "Fargo." Whether he's coming back for his role as DB Russell in the grandfather procedural drama is still unknown.

According to Deadline, CBS might just wait until the very last minute before announcing its decision. Fans will have to keep waiting on the edge of their seats for updates about the show.

On the other hand, Zap2It insists that "CSI Las Vegas" might still come back for a 16th season. The show reportedly did well in the ratings department last season considering several delayed airings and other setbacks.

The show reportedly "still clocked a 2.1 in the 18-49 demo and 11-plus million viewers in Live +7 ratings."

Meanwhile, despite "CSI Cyber" receiving mixed reactions from its audience and reviewers, it still managed to attract 12.5 million viewers in the coveted 18-49 demographic. According to Hollywood Reporter, believes that it's "nothing to shrug off".

Will fans see a "CSI Las Vegas" renewal or will a "CSI Cyber" renewal be more likely to happen instead?
