'Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain' PS4 Release Date Still A Go Despite Rumors Of Cancellation!

News about the future "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phanton Pain" PS4 release date has been making quite a stir lately, following reports that Hideo Kojima and Konami have parted ways.

While fans expressed their concerns about the possibility of the game either being delayed or thrown out to trash all together, Konami released an official statement assuring fans that the sequel to the hit gaming franchise is well on its way.

"Thank you for your continued patronage of KONAMI products and services," the announcement said as stated by Movie Pilot  . "The latest title in the Metal Gear series, 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,' will be released as planned starting on Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 in North America, Latin America, and Europe, followed by Japan and Asia on Wednesday, September 2nd. Hideo Kojima will remain involved throughout."

In addition the gaming campany based in Tokyo, Japan released the first statement coming from Hideo Kojima himself following the separation.

In the statement Kojima claimed that the upcoming game is the "best" there is from the franchise, while assuring fans of his involvement with the development.

"I want to reassure fans that I am 100% involved and will continue working on 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,' I'm determined to make it the greatest game I've directed to date," Kojima promised. "Don't miss it!"

And while Konami already removed the "A Hideo Kojima Game" tagline and logo from the wesite of both "Silent Hills" and "Metal Gear," the gaming studio offered a statement without discussing further details about the game's progress.

"Konami has switched from a studio-based to a headquarters-based organization, so [Kojima Productions] wouldn't be listed as a studio anymore."

Furthermore, while Hideo Kojima and Konami are no longer working together, the Tokyo base gaming studio released a statement claiming that the famous Japanese game designer has his hands and eyes all set for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" production as it's being readied for the September release date, as reported by Kotaku.

"In accordance with the recent change in production organization of all of Konami, Kojima Productions, as well as other internal production companies, has had its name, etc., changed to move into the corporate headquarters work structure."

"The name and organization has changed, but as before, MGSV: TPP is continuing as a work from director Kojima and the existing team members."

Adding, "The social networking account has also been changed, but the new account has the same Metal Gear team members as the previous one, and is updating with the latest news. As the team members who are tweeting is unchanged, we would like your continued support and follows."
