Before fans lose hope of "Digimon Adventure Tri" ever reaching TV screens, Den of Geek exclusively reported that the release date will be announced on May 6.

"On Wednesday, May 6th, we're going to get the first promotional video for the new Digimon cartoon, along with a complete voice cast and airing schedule! The details come from here, but it's all in Japanese," the publication revealed.

Adding that the older versions of all of the season 1 characters are going to appear in the upcoming "Digimon Adventure Tri" series.

Furthermore, the anime series' official website has released a new digi egg to be hatched upon clicking. While the website did not mention anything about what will be revealed in the digi egg once hatched, speculations suggest that it will most likely be the release date of the series.

Anime News Network added that new "Digimon Adventure Tri" character designs have already been unveiled featuring both Yamato Ishida and Gabumon, who are returning to the anime series.

Furthermore, IGN reported that the anime's original voice actors are all returning to reprise their roles in the sequel.

"We've got our first look at the Digimon in Digimon Adventure Tri, and now have official confirmation that the original Japanese voice cast will return," the publication claimed.

It's most certain that the anime series will be aired in Spring if not at the end of April.

The upcoming series is reportedly set three years following the events from "Digimon Adventure 02," where lead character, Taichi and his team, Chosen Children group, are going to reunite with their partner Digimons to help save Digi World.

The official poster and video of Taichi featured him in his teenage years in high school.
