It seems like "Star Trek 3" movie is actively gearing up as it's slowly unveiling new actors in its lineup.

Following an exclusive report from Deadline that "Kingsman: The Secret Service" sexy assassin, Sofia Boutella has landed a role in the highly anticipated sci-fi adventure film, Variety that "The Wire" star Idris Elba is in early negotiations to play a villain role for "Star Trek 3."

If the negotiations pursue, the 42-year-old British actor will follow the footsteps of Eric Bana and Benedict Cumberbatch as villains in the "Star Trek" franchise.

"So far, the new Star Trek movie series has seen Eric Bana and Benedict Cumberbatch as villains," Fansided reported. "The question now is which villain will be picking up where the last two left off? Personally, it would be cool to see the Klingons take on the villain role. For a group so widely represented throughout Star Trek's TV series, their appearances in the recent films have been minimal."

And as the publication suggested, Idris Elba could play a Klingon villain in the upcoming movie, noting that it is the "it would be great for the Klingons to get some love with a main role in this upcoming film."

If On Location Vacations is right, "Star Trek 3" has already started filming in Vancouver since April 15, while Screen Rant added that some scenes will be shot in Seoul, South Korea.

"Fast & Furious" director Justin Lin has been tapped to helm the scifi film following the exit of Roberto Orci.

Simon Pegg who has also been tapped to work on the storyline with Doug Jung will return with Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana and Anton Yelchin to reprise their roles in the movie.
