Adam Lambert’s New Album To Feature Collaboration Tove Lo And Brian May! What Else Should Fans Expect On ‘The Original High’?

Adam Lambert's new album is scheduled for a June 16 release but as early as now, "The Original High" is already making quite a bit of noise in the music industry.

The "American Idol" alum released his first single off of the long-awaited record earlier this month to the excitement and happiness of Glamberts. The haunting tune of "Ghost Town" was able to lure in not just hardcore fans but music critics as well.

Will the rest of his album be as intriguing as "Ghost Town"?

According to Digital Spy, another promising song might just grace our ears soon. He reportedly collaborated with Swedish singer Tove Lo, who penned a "relationship song". For the Grammy nominee.

Titled "Rumours", Lo told the publication that the song will show "the struggle of being with someone who doesn't really trust you".

"[Adam's] probably the first guy that I've successfully written something for," she added, referring to the fact that she tended to write songs for female singers.

The theme for "Rumours" seem to match the general darker tone that Adam Lambert's new album will reportedly take on.

"Lyrically, it's very very personal, the album has an overall bittersweet feel to it. Vocally, I think it's my most tasteful, sophisticated work to date," he previously told Hunger Magazine.

He added, "Instead of being overly specific, most of the songs are more esoteric and so they're open to interpretation. I'm curious to hear about the individual meaning that people find in the songs dependent on their own situation."

Brian May of Queen will also feature in a song called "Lucy". The 33-year-old singer gained legendary guitarist's respect and friendship when he joined Queen as their lead singer for the band's world tour.

Meanwhile, Billboard was able to get an early listen of Adam Lambert's new album and the publication has nothing but praises for the upcoming record.

According to the article, "Lambert showcases his signature soaring wail as he reaches his own personal high - note-wise - occasionally stepping in with an impressive falsetto over a dance-y beat."
