Will There Be An Adam Lambert And Queen Album This Year? Guitarist Brian May Will Watch ‘Ghost Town’ Singer’s Solo Career ‘With Interest’

Interest for an Adam Lambert and Queen album has been growing ever since the former signed up to join the iconic group for a world tour that kicked off last year.

The "American Idol" runner-up won over Queen fans with his passion and showmanship that even band members Brian May and Roger Taylor couldn't help but compliment.

When news for a new Queen album surfaced, some followers thought (and hoped) that the Grammy-nominated singer would lend his voice to the record.

According to The Inquisitr, however, the dream collaboration of an Adam Lambert and Queen album still remains a dream for now. In fact, Queen members are planning on a little vacation after their tour wraps up.

"[A]t the moment we're watching with interest while Adam pursues his solo career, and it seems to be going very well," May reportedly told the Ultimate Classic Rock, "He's an amazing, amazing artist, and there's no getting away from that. It's very interesting to watch him develop."

Lambert recently came back as a solo artist with "Ghost Town" which received compliments from reviewers. His new album, "The Original High" is also set to be released this June 16.

No tour dates has been announced for "The Original High" yet but he would undoubtedly be busy by the latter half of the year to promote it. An Adam Lambert and Queen album would have to be postponed until Lambert finishes promotions for the new record.

It looks like his upcoming album release is also hindering him from joining Queen in a performance for the music festival in Glastonbury. Neither Queen nor Lambert is in the line-up. They will, however, meet again for a series of shows in South America this Fall.

Although it's still a hopeful dream at this point, do you think Adam Lambert and Queen will record an album together someday?
