It seems like "Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston is all alone in Legendary Pictures' "Kong: Skull Island" movie.

While the 34-year-old English actor who gained popularity by portraying the role of "Loki" in Marvel's "Avengers" and "Thor" movies is reportedly very excited to start filming the "King Kong" prequel, Deadline exclusively reported that his supposed co-stars Michael Keaton and JK Simmons have exited the project.

According to the publication, the stars decided to leave the movie due to conflicting schedules.

Apparently "Kong: Skull Island" production has been pushed back to the end of the year and that didn't match Keaton and Simmons' schedule.

Legendary Pictures is now reportedly on a hunt for Keaton and Simmons' replacement before its schedule production starts.

To be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts under the script written by John Gatins and Max Borenstein, "Kong: Skull Island" only now has "Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston on board.

It is scheduled to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on March 10, 2017.

The plot synopsis to "Kong: Skull Island" movie has also been revealed, read below:

"In the spirit of its worldwide blockbuster Godzilla, Legendary Pictures presents a bold new take on the mythos of another iconic beast withKong: Skull Island, which stars Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers and Thor series).

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) and written by John Gatins (Flight) and Max Borenstein (Godzilla), "Kong: Skull Island" will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island. Legendary's story honors the foundations of existing King Kong lore, but places it in an entirely new, distinct timeline.

Thomas Tull (Godzilla, The Dark Knight, Pacific Rim) and Jon Jashni (Godzilla, Warcraft) will produce and Alex Garcia (Godzilla) will executive produce. The film will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D by Universal Pictures."

In a previous interview with Red Carpet News TV, "Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston confirmed his involvement with the project, assuring fans that "Kong: Skull Island" is going to be "ambitious and epic and fresh."

"Well really it was [director] Jordan Vogt-Roberts has such an extraordinary vision," he said when asked what made him decide to accept the project in an interview with Red Carpet News TV.

He continued, "His story which I know he hasn't revealed to anyone yet is 'King Kong' you've never seen before, and it's very ambitious and epic and fresh and new in his vision and design and the characters are amazing. The chance to work with legendary again, who made 'Crimson Peak,' and I love what they did with 'Godzilla,' there are number of things, but it's more of working with Jordan particularly, his idea is amazing and the story and the script and the studio so yeah, it's a very easy yes."
