Former Titleholders As Miss USA 2015 Judges? MUO Reportedly Calls Pageant Sisterhood For Backup

For this year's pageant, the Miss Universe Organization reportedly wants former contestants as the Miss USA 2015 judges, proving that blood is thicker than water when it calls for "pageant sisterhood" for backup.

The pageant, owned by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, is affected by the recent issues surrounding the businessman including some candidates backing out from the Miss Universe pageant, hosts quitting the Miss USA 2015 show and some judges deciding not to make an appearance.

In a recent report by website Nola, the pageant will rely on former contestants and winners as the Miss USA 2015 judges this July 12 at the Baton Rouge, River Center in Louisiana.

"One thing I do know is there are some great opportunities because so many of our former titleholders are so upset that everyone was forgetting about the women that are here and that have worked for years," Paula Shugart of the Miss Universe Organization said in the report.

For Shugart, former contestants and winners as the Miss USA 2015 judges are tests "to see who's going to carry (the tradition) on.

Days after NBC decided to close business ties with Trump including the Miss USA pageant, another network, Reelz Channel decided to pick up the broadcast of the show that will feature the new Miss USA 2015 judges.

"Our carriage of this event should not be construed as anything political," Reelz president Stanley Hubbard said in a report by Digital Spy. "It is anything but - it is television, it is entertainment... We do not condone or agree with, in any way, any of these comments that Mr. Trump has to say."

Among the personalities who reportedly backed out from the show as Miss USA 2015 judges, performers and hosts are former Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith, rapper Flo Rida, singer Natalie La Rose, E! News anchor Terrence Jenkins, news anchor Thomas Roberts and others.
