Fans of Netflix TV series "Sense8" are feeling anxious with season two still up in the air.

Last month, executive producer said "Sense8" season 2 renewal might be announced in just two weeks but time passed and there still no words from them.

"Senese8" season 2 renewal is one of the very first thing asked to co-creator J. Michael Straczynski during his appearance at the TV Critics Awards panel. He said, just like last month, he is still waiting for confirmation.

"We're still waiting word for the final determination, but the talks have been optimistic. It's Netflix's call."

Although "Sense8" season 2 renewal plans are still on hold, someone already dared to ask whether the show can span five years. Straczynski answered with a loud "NO" and said "we're a long game kind of people. For ourselves, for the writing, we have to figure out where all this pays off. Season 1 is obviously about origins."

"Sense8" season 2 renewal is something many fans of show deemed should be automatic given how successful the first season was. Over 800,000 Netflix users gave it an average of 4.2 out of 5 stars while audience approval in review site Rotten Tomatoes is at 92%. The show is also commended for its diversity and breaking transgender barriers.

"There's been a tendency for science fiction to be seen as something other than for adults - it tends to be about either the MacGuffin, the device, the magic, the gadget, the gimmick or the mission. We wanted to make this show about the journey and [do something] for grown-ups," Straczynski said during the same event.

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Straczynski said more than a sci-fi, "Sense8" is also a show about community.

"It's a show about community, about how we're more alike than not," JMS said, summarizing the series' concept.

"Separated by continents and oceans, they still found a way to have a shared experience - and that's how the concept of the series began."
