Avid fans of "Hart of Dixie" have long been waiting for Rachel Bilson to finally speak up about the show's cancellation.

And while the 33-year-old actress has decided to keep mum about it by not doing any interviews, she finally gave an explanation to her fans on a recent post oh her Instagram account.

Bilson has posted what seems to be a throwback photo of her on Instagram showing one of behind the scenes from "Hart of Dixie."

The photo was captioned with a clarification saying that despite rampant rumors, her pregnancy had nothing to do with the show's cancellation.

"Missing the #zoehart#hartofdixie days, especially this outfit and this lady. Just wanted to clear something up, the cancellation of HOD had nothing to do with me or my pregnancy. I loved my show and loved playing Zoe Hart, thanks to everyone who watched," she captioned her photo.

Rachel Bilson was rumored to have caused the show's demise following her pregnancy to long-time partner Hayden Christensen.

And her decision to remain silent about it has only led to many people believing that it is true.

Her co-star, Jamie King's statement did not help either. In fact it only fueled the rumors involving her pregnancy to the show's cancellation.

"It's a tricky situation because it really isn't about ratings for us," she previously revealed to E! News . "It's not like a ratings issue it was more of a timing issue. Rachel Bilson got pregnant and wanted to take maternity leave. Every woman has a right to do that. I think that everything has an imp at on the way things are decided upon. It's very interesting because our fans are so devoted."

However, CW president Mark Pedowitz was quick to deny such rumors by telling the public that the decision was made due to "Hart of Dixies's" rating and not because of Rachel Bilson's pregnancy.

"We're going to see the ratings," he announced. "I think Leila did a great job in the 10 episodes this year of making something fun for the fans. So if it ends, there's a great finale. If it doesn't end, there's a great season finale, but we're not committed one way or the other yet."
