A Miss Universe Event For MJ Lastimosa? Former Contestants To Be Reunited In Las Vegas Soon!

Aug 05, 2015 12:58 PM EDT | By Jon Lindley Agustin

There seems to be an upcoming reunion for former Miss Universe 2014 contestants when Indonesian representative Elvira Devinamira on Wednesday posted a photo on Instagram, tagging her co-candidates with a caption, "See you soon."

It was a photo of her boarding pass from Indonesia to Las Vegas in the U.S. Along the photo are names of some familiar beauty queens that viewers and fans saw in the semi-finals.

Elvira tagged former Miss Universe contestants from the 2014 edition such as Mary Jean Lastimosa from the Philippines, Nia Sanchez from the U.S., Elise Dalby from Norway, Julia Furdea from Austria, Anissa Blondin from Belgium, Kimberly Castillo from Dominican Republic and Kary Ramos from Costa Rica.

As seen on the post's comments section, Miss Jamaica Kaci Fennell is supposed to join them. She just expressed her best wishes for the girls through a comment.

Whether these former Miss Universe contestants will participate in a pageant-sponsored event or will just spend time together, fans can only wait for more updates from them.

Viewing the Instagram accounts of the Miss Universe contestants whom Elvira tagged, nobody has posted anything yet of a flight to Las Vegas, as of press time.

However, Miss Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa has already replied to Elvira's post wishing to see each other soon. The Filipina beauty even included a number of heart-shaped emoticons.

Pageant enthusiast Gon Jacob was also able to catch the post and told Franchise Herald he is excited to see more photos of their reunion.

"This is big news. I can't wait for the [photos]!" he said.

Miss Universe 2014 saw these contestants competing passionately for the title. Among those joining the reunion, three of them made the cut - Philippines, Indonesia and the USA.

Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez went on to become first runner-up that night. Miss Indonesia Elvira Devinamira landed on the 15 semi-finals but failed to go on. Miss Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa lasted until the top 10 but did not make it to the final cut.

Fans of the pageant are happy that the former Miss Universe contestants are still friends after the competition.

"Awwww! This makes me so happy to see that you all are still friends after Miss Universe!" wrote Instagram user @miss_universe_fan in the comments section.
