Republican Presidential Debate To ‘Throw Lies’ Against Hillary, Her Campaign Team Says

Aug 05, 2015 12:52 PM EDT | By Jon Lindley Agustin

The Republican presidential debate is all set on Thursday for a prime-time airing on Fox. The line-up has been reportedly announced, but Hillary Clinton's team wants supporters to get the facts straight.

In a recent email on the Republic presidential debate sent to the subscribers, Director of Rapid Response Christina Reynolds said the candidates will "throw a lot of lies at Hillary" come Thursday prime time telecast.

The email gave the subscribers some tools on how to get the facts right during the Republic presidential debate, including staunch social media tips and response information to be disseminated to subscribers.

"Stock up on soft projectiles to hurl at your television to give your jeering some attitude (marshmallows get the job done)," the email said.

Reynolds also advised supporters to make sure their smartphones are fully charged so that they can "tweet about the dangerous policies that candidates like Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Scott Walker are proposing."

Hillary Clinton's team also attached "The Briefing" along with the email. This is said to generate rapid response videos and infographics.

"We need your help to make sure the facts get out into the world, because you and I both know people have a way of accepting the lies as truth - unless they're told otherwise," Reynolds wrote.

Fox News reportedly enumerated the Republican presidential candidates joining the debate. According to a report by CNN, candidates Donald Trump, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee, Scott Walker, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich will appear on Thursday's premiere edition.

A debate earlier Thursday night will have other major candidates Jim Gilmore, Rick Santorum, George Pataki, Bobby Jindal, Lindsey Graham and Carly Fiorina participating, the report added.

The Republican presidential debate is happening this Thursday, 5 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET. The first 10 candidates will engage in a two-hour prime time debate, while the remaining candidates will have one-hour.

It will be moderated by Bret Baier, Chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly of Fox News Channel.
