Consider this as one of the most superb tech hacks you will ever encounter: turning your smartphone camera into a black light technology to detect germs on public toilets.

What you'll need: your smartphone, a blue and purple Sharpee and some Scotch tape.

Getting on a public toilet is a life-altering decision, especially for females. Popular protection against germs has been released in the market such as bathroom spray deodorizers. But when someone lacks this tool, the next option is to use your resources to help you detect germs on the toilet in an easier way.

It is like having your personal x-ray vision for toilet germs through one of the most amazing smartphone camera hacks.

YouTube user Endo75 uploaded a video that provided details on how to make your own smartphone camera hack. Simple as it is, the results are just beyond imagination.

The first step is to put some Scotch tape over your smartphone camera's flash - not on the lens - for these hacks to work. Then, color the area of the flash covered by tape with the blue Sharpee.

Let the ink dry and place another layer of tape on top of the first layer. Then, color the new layer with the blue Sharpee once again.

As a final step to achieve these smartphone camera hacks, place another layer of Scotch tape for one last time but coloring in with the purple Sharpee marker.

This simple smartphone camera hack is useful when taking your own filtered images of bathroom toilets - just do not forget turning off the lights.

"That's it, all you need now is absolute and terrifying darkness," the voice-over in the smartphone camera hacks video said. "Turn the light off in the bathroom, grab your phone and prepare yourself for what you'll see."
