Following the first full trailer of "Batman V Superman," there have been reports claiming that Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will actually play a small part in the film.

As per Kpopstarz, Gadot, who reportedly finished shooting her scenes in the upcoming superhero film will not be seen in any major fight scenes.

"According to reported rumors, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman hasn't buffed herself up enough yet for the Wonder Woman part. She will reportedly be in for at least one full year to achieve the Amazon Princess' physique. Gal Gadot has been documenting her progress on Twitter," the publication reported.

Instead she is reportedly gearing up for her "Wonder Woman" standalone film, which is due for release on June 23, 2017.

Meanwhile, famed comic book writer Grant Morrison, just like other critics, is not at all impressed with Gal Gadot's performance based on the trailer released.

In an interview with Nerdist Morrison openly expressed his disappointmen in the new Wonder Woman.

"[The warrior woman thing is] not what [Wonder Woman creator] William Marston wanted, that's not what he wanted at all!" said Morrison. "His original concept for Wonder Woman was an answer to comics that he thought were filled with images of blood-curdling masculinity, and you see the latest shots of Gal Gadot in the costume, and it's all sword and shield and her snarling at the camera. Marston's Diana was a doctor, a healer, a scientist."

And while Gal Gadot is being criticized for the "Batman V Superman" movie, her standalone film is reportedly actively moving forward.

It's been reported that a new cast has been added to the line up.

"Star Trek" actor Chris Pine, like Gal Gadot has reportedly closed a multi-movie deal with Warner Bros. to play Steve Trevor opposite Diana Prince, The Wrap reported.

Patty Jenkins will direct "Wonder Woman," which will be produced by Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder together with Charles Roven and Richard Suckle of Atlas Entertainment. Jason Fuchs was tapped to write the script.

Gal Gadot is set to showcase her prowess in the upcoming "Wonder Woman" movie scheduled on June 23, 2017.
