Don't Give Up! 'Hannibal' Season 4 Can Still Happen As EP Says There's Many Possibilities

Never give up.

To the fans of NBC horror series "Hannibal," there is still a chance to see Mads Mikkelsen's Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Hugh Dancy's Will Graham back in one screen again.

The two actors have signed up for different projects already but that does not mean they are already out in possible "Hannibal" season 4.

A.V. Club reported citing THR as the source that executive producer Martha de Laurentiis is looking for several platforms and possibilities to continue the story of iconic cannibal from Thomas Harris novels. The show was canceled three episodes into the third season.

"In several of the interviews, Fuller said producer Martha de Laurentiis is currently looking into a number of possibilities, including taking to Kickstarter to finance a feature film followup to Hannibal's three seasons," AV Club wrote.

"That would allow him, as he told HitFix, 'to return this cast to the big screen from whence they came, and Hannibal Lecter to the big screen from whence he came. It seems perfectly symmetrical.' Though he also called the odds of either a movie or an actual fourth season on another platform "'ess than 50/50, and not in our favor,' he still stressed that he remains hopeful it will happen, potentially as soon as a year or two from now."

If plans for "Hannibal" season 4 do not pan out, Fuller said they are working on a movie which he describes is very appealing.

"There's a few ways to go. The movie route is very appealing because we have movie actors," he told the Hollywood Reporter.

"It would be great to see them on the big screen and we've always shot the show as though it were an independent movie with an independent film esthetic," he explained.

"Coming full circle in return to the big screen is very promising. But it would be interesting to discuss a miniseries or some sort of continuation of the story with another network once all the hubbub of this series has gone fallow. Who knows? Maybe there is an opportunity for us to address things with MGM and Clarice Starling now that the show has completed its run on NBC and there is an opportunity for a rebirth of sorts."

Which is better, "Hannibal" season 4 or a feature movie?
