New leaked photo suggest that the Xiaomi Mi5 might be a tough contender of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Ahead of Xiaomi Mi5 release date, leaked details about the next flagship device have been ramping. According to Phone Arena, the latest leaked press render image revealed that the upcoming flagship will feature a curved back panel similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and a metal frame.

The upcoming flagship device is set to be released soon as the Snapdragon Qualcomm 820 goes official, IB times reported.

However, earlier reports about Xiaomi Mi5's Antutu benchmark score of 73,075, which is higher than the top dog Exynos 7420 running on the Samsung's latest flagship devices, points out to a different processor, according to GSM Arena.

The tech site noted that Xiaomi may "opted" for the Mediatek Helio X20 Soc which lists "a tri-cluster CPU with a total of 10 cores," but the leaked TENAA certification of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 revealed only 8 cores. So, there's still a possibility that we might be seeing the Mi5 running on Snapdragon 820.

Reportedly, it is also said to feature a 5.2inch screen with QHD resolution, while its processor will be paired with a 3GB of RAM.

On the camera side, there will be a 16MP on its rear and a 13MP on the front.

While the Xiaomi Mi5 isn't releasing yet, Xiaomi is set to unveil another mid-range device, the Xiaomi Mi 4c.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c which recently passed TENAA will sport a "5-inch FHD display with a 1920*1080 resolution, a Snapdragon 808 CPU, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage OR 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, dual SIM, 4G LTE, 5 MP front camera, 13 MP rear camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7.0," according to Geeksnack.
