Latest "Scandal" season 5 episode guide talks about a possible new member of the Gladiators who have lost almost half of them in the past seasons.
Abby is in the White House now, Stephen Finch is long gone, and Harrison Wright is presumably dead. The losses could mean Olivia Pope and Associates can use a help.

"Eager to get answers, Jake unexpectedly crosses paths with someone he thought he'd never see again. Meanwhile, Huck and Quinn recruit a familiar face to help smooth over the media storm surrounding Olivia, and Fitz quickly finds out the true cost of mercy when he discovers not everyone fully supports his actions."
The synopsis did not specify who this 'familiar face' is but there is speculation he will be Cornelius Smith Jr. who appeared in an episode last season. He said his character Marcus is someone who can work or against the Gladiators.
"Marcus is someone who will continue to fight for justice - whether it's going to be for the Gladiators or against the Gladiators, we don't know," Cornelius told Entertainment Weekly.
"He has his own set of morals, guidelines and principals that don't necessarily bend to other's impressions of him or what he should do." That's why there could be some tension between Marcus and Olivia when he returns. "It's a fairly new relationship," he says. "In that relationship you have everything that relationships have: Times where they get along, times where they don't see eye-to-eye, there might be some friction."
Smith's return was first reported by TV Line. The entertainment website wrote his character has been promoted as series regular.
"TVLine has learned exclusively that the actor is not only set to reprise his role as activist Marcus Walker in Season 5, but he'll do so as a full-fledged series regular," the website wrote back in July.
