Just when fans were started to get worried that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will never happen, a release date has reportedly been confirmed.

While announcing that a mobile game app will be launched for "Tokyo Ghoul," CEO and President of FUNimation Entertainment, Gen Fukunaga revealed to Crossmap that the anime's season 3 is going to be released next year.

"Ever since we began simulcasting the anime series last year, fans of Tokyo Ghoul have been clamoring for a mobile game. With Season 2 now finished and Season 3 set for 2016, the anticipation for the game has only grown higher," he revealed.

While Fukunaga did not mention the exact "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 release date, he assured everyone that the developers are up on their feet working on the anime.

In line with the coming of season 3, the developers of "Tokyo Ghoul" are also busy working on the mobile game app that will revolve around the conflict between CCG (Commission of Counter Ghoul) and humans.

As reported by Siliconera, players will have the chance to choose between the two conflicting pactions and from their alliance, as they try to survive the challenges in the game.

The mobile game, which will be made available for Apple and Adroid devices in English format, will also be launched next year, just in time for the release date of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3.

In addition to the many "Tokyo Ghoul" franchise, "Tokyo Ghoul Jack" OVA movie has already been released in Japan on Sept. 30, 2015.
