Fans were both thrilled and sad when they found out that Hugh Jackman will be portraying Logan for the last time in "Wolverine 3."

Since this will be the Aussie actor's farewell movie for the franchise, then he wanted everything to be perfect including the script.

According to EW, the lead star and director James Mangold are at about page 60 writing the third installment. Since they are still in the process of finishing it off, then there's a possibility that the 2017 film will get delayed.

However, Hugh Jackman stood firm on his decision of not proceeding with the film until they got the right script. "I don't have a start date because we're not going to have start dates until we have that script perfect," he said as reported by Cinema Blend.

"It matters too much to me. I care too much about the character, about the audience, and when you say it's going to be your last one, I just want to leave everything on the table. Absolutely everything," he added.

In a separate interview with Hugh Jackman, he revealed that he won't officially sign off if he isn't happy with the script.

"I'm saying but and I'm sounding a little cagey because this is the last time I'm playing him, and I have just made the commitment to myself, really, and told everyone that until that script is perfect, until it is that perfect way to sign out, I'm not gonna start shooting," he told Collider.

During an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con a few months ago, the star of "Pan" hinted the film's storyline.

"I've got three words for you guys: Old Man Logan," he told the audience. "As I promised, this next time is my last time putting on the claws, it's one last time."

Hugh Jackman also shared other spoilers such as the return of Victor Creed, or more popularly known as Sabretooth, and people may witness the mutant's berserker rage in "Wolverine 3."
