‘America’s Next Top Model’ Cycle 22 Contestant Nyle DiMarco Reveals He’s Sexually ‘Fluid’

Oct 13, 2015 01:22 PM EDT | By Jason Fonbuena

Responding to fan on Twitter, "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22 contestant Nyle DiMarco identified as being sexually "fluid."

People reported that "ANTM" fan Kike Garces tweeted the 25-year-old asking his sexual preferences. DiMarco responded, simply saying "fluid." But what does that mean?

Thankfully, DiMarco included a link to an article titled "How Fluid Sexuality Fits into the LGBTQIA+ Spectrum" posted on the Everyday Feminism website.

The article goes at length to explain sexual fluidity. Apparently, people who are sexually fluid "are either always attracted to more than one gender or feel that their attraction may shift depending on factors like time, intimacy with certain partners, changes in hormone levels and so forth."

Fans from the LGBT community expressed their support for the "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22 contestant, Realty Today reported.

"Thanks for being you! Wishing you continued good luck!" one fan said.

"Welcome to the family! We appreciate you more than you know," another one said.

"As a member of the LGBT community I am proud that you are part of our family! You are a beautiful man inside and out," another one said.

As the website noted, Nyle DiMarco is "ANTM's" first deaf contestant. The aspiring model from New York doesn't consider his deafness a disadvantage though.

"I strongly believe that being dead gives me a huge advantage because my native language, American Sign Language, requires the use of facial expressions and body language expressions," DiMarco told People.

"It helps to bring out stories when I am modelling for a photo."

DiMarco is a consistent good performer in cycle 22. His latest victory comes from earning best photo in episode 9 "The Guy or Girl Who Came Back," according to People.

"America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22 returns with episode 11 "And Then That Happened" Oct. 23.
