Oct 13, 2015 10:26 PM EDT | By Excel Medina

Microsoft's Cortana arrives to Xbox One Preview members ahead of its expected release date.

Reportedly, some Xbox One Preview members have already accessed Cortana on their consoles, "by accessing the settings panel and going up and hitting the A button a few times," The Verge reported.

"This activates Cortana and it's immediately snapped at the side of a game or app. As the Xbox One preview is now running Windows 10, the Cortana experience looks identical. Cortana floats at the top left, allowing you to say "Hey Cortana" to enable voice commands," The Verge added.

"Microsoft is planning to support features like inviting friends to parties using Cortana, but right now it's fairly basic functionality. As the Xbox One version of Cortana is identical to Windows 10, you do get access to your calendar appointments, news, stocks information, and everything else you track in Cortana."

Cortana will be made available for all Xbox One users on the console's major update in November through the New Xbox One Experience. However, the rumor mill recently suggests that the Xbox One update has been pushed back to December.

But Xbox's Mike Ybarra was quick to shoot down delayed rumors through a fan's inquiry on Facebok, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

"@TheMicrosofty@DelochoDiosesNope. No idea where this is coming from. It'll be ready when it's ready, " Xbox Director of Program Management Mike Ybarra posted on inquiry on Twitter.

The New Xbox One Experience that has been slated for a November will also bring Xbox Backward Compatibility feature which has been already made available to Preview Program Members.

This feature will highlight over 100 Xbox 360 games playavble on Xbox One in which more games will be added in the months to come. This feature also includes screenshots, streaming, and game DVR,Gematsu reported.

In addition, the Xbox One November update features the integration between Microsoft Windows 10 and Xbox One called "OneCore" that " involved the team creating a highly customized version of Windows 10 built specifically for Xbox One," GDN9 reported.
