"Pokemon Go" update reportedly coming on mid-October.

According to Nintendo Insider, Niantic Inc. will give out more information about the much awaited "Pokemon Go" franchise which was recently announced in Japan.

"We're not quite ready to talk in more depth about Pokémon GO than what was revealed in the announcement press release and assets," Niantic's representative Evan Dexter explained.

"Come mid-October we'll be able to start going into more depth about our plans for the game, and about our plans for real world gaming overall."

So far "Pokemon Go" has definitely taken the internet by storm as its trailer gains over 17M views on Youtube. (Watch trailer below.)

As for its release date, it was recently rumored to be some time on February 2016 as The Pokemon Company celebrates its 20th anniversary next year, News Everyday  reported.

"2016 marks the 20th year since Pokémon was born," Game Freak director Junichi Masuda revealed as quoted by Youth Health Magazine.

"It's going to be a very meaningful year for me, and I am really excited to be able to participate in this project. I hope everyone will also be excited for 'Pokémon GO.'"

But if the sources are to be believed, game developers The Pokemon Company, Nintendo and Niantic Inc. are expected to finally reveal "Pokemon Go" release date on mid-October.

"Pokemon Go" will be an augmented reality game coming to IOS and Android devices for free, but would definitely feature in-app purchases, Headlines and Global News reported.

"For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world. Pokémon GO will allow players to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world. Imagine discovering a Squirtle hiding along the waterfront in San Francisco, a Bulbasaur at Shinjuku Station or a Pikachu beneath the Eiffel Tower," according to John Hanke, founder of Niantic.
