Tom Riley Proud Of How They Ended 'Da Vinci's Demons'; Watch Season 3 Premiere Now

The highly anticipated "Da Vinci's Demons" season 3 premiere has been aired and it is a bitter-sweet event for many fans. The Starz TV series is now on its third and final season after getting canceled last July.

The premiere episode features a shocker right in its first few minutes. Leonardo made a hasty decision about his mother who he has been searching for all his life. This decision of his might not sit well to some fans. It might even haunt Leo when he sleeps at night.

While some scenes in "Da Vinci's Demons" season 3 premiere is unsettling, Tom Riley insists the show will end with people feeling satisfied because of the changes they made after learning about the cancellation.

"That's the one thing we are really proud of," he said in an interview with Comic Book Resources.

"It's nice to have a show that's not going to leave people hanging. They are not going to feel like, "Oh God. I got caught in the middle of a gigantic cliffhanger like the last two seasons." There is a real wrap up and a sense of closure. All of the main characters get a fairly satisfactory conclusion to their arcs. There are still open-ended moments that the audience will want to fill in the blanks. It's bittersweet that it's ending, but exciting that we've been able to do it in a way that's not going to deflate the fans."

He also teased that the first and second will be like a two-hour movie.

"There's so many. The first two hours are so intense," he said.

"They are like a two-hour war movie. We have a brand new stunt coordinator this year and he was determined to make the fight sequences a lot more choreographed and a lot more complex as a result. They were incredibly difficult to pick up, but they looked fantastic on screen."

Watch "Da Vinci's Demons" season 3 premiere episode now on STARZ. Catch the second episode on October 31.
