‘Legally Blonde 3’ In The Works? Reese Witherspoon Talks Elle Woods In Supreme Court

Is there a "Legally Blonde 3" movie coming? It's been years since the successful "Legally Blonde" movie premiered in cinemas and Elle Woods (played by Reese Witherspoon) had captured our hearts and taught us to "bend and snap."

"I think we're ready to see Elle and see what she's up to lately," Reese Witherspoon said of a possible third "Legally Blonde" movie during her appearance on "Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe."

There have been many attempts to revive that old Elle Woods charm. The last time Reese Witherspoon played the character was back in 2003 for "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde."

Although the movie was sort of okay, everything after that -- from straight-to-DVD film,"Legally Blondes" in 2009 to the Broadway musical in 2007 -- were major flops.

It seems that the world only wants the original pink-loving Gemini vegetarian from Harvard to show us the workings of the law. But should Elle Woods return, at what point in her career would she be?

"A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it," Witherspoon revealed.

"I actually think it's kind of great right now because we're talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women," Witherspoon said. "And I think it'd be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office."

In an interview on "Watch What Happens Live" a few months ago, the actress revealed she received off-beat suggestions for a third "Legally Blonde" movie.

"Somebody pitched me an idea the other day," Witherspoon told Andy Cohen. "Somebody thought it would be really funny if Elle went to jail,"

"Or into the Army," Cohen suggested, invoking Private Benjamin.

Would writers and producers take on Reese Witherspoon's idea for Elle Woods and "Legally Blonde 3"? With the success of the film franchise, it's definitely a possibility!
