A true "Supernatural" fan knows that Dean (Jensen Ackles) would do anything for his 1967 Chevrolet Impala and won't even let Sam (Jared Padalecki) drive it unless necessary. Eleven seasons since its introduction, it's finally getting the focus it deserves.
Shown entirely from the car's perspective, executive producer Jeremy Carver revealed that this "concept episode" will investigate "what it means to be living your life outside your car."
Episodes are usually edited in such a way that fans don't have to suffer the long drives that the brothers had to go through between hunting jobs. In the "Supernatural" season 11 episode 4 live stream, however, viewers will finally get a glimpse into that aspect of their life.
"When I read the script, I was like, 'We never see the boys do this stuff. I can't wait to see it," Padalecki reportedly said about the upcoming episode, according to International Business Times. "That should be something we do more often. We usually have the come-to-God [moment] in the middle of this library or something... But what a cool glimpse into the Winchesters and how they travel."
He also added that fans will find out how they spend the nights that they can't check into motels.
"We've done things that have for us seemed similar to that, but certainly have never shot an entire show like that," Ackles put in as well. "So there was a bit of a learning curve, and once Tom figured out how he wanted to do it, then it was just getting used to that setup."
