Lost in the well-publicized arrival of John Constantine in "Arrow" season 4 episode 5 titled "Haunted" was the debut of Alex Davis (Parker Young) who is a potential love interest for Thea.
As fans should know by now, Will Holland's character is no longer with Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) who departed last season after guising as the Arrow who is of course Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). They made the public believe the archer is dead and so Roy has to leave Star City for good.
Enter Alex Davis who works as a campaign manager for Oliver's mayoral stand. He made his presence felt instantly in "Arrow" season 4 episode 5 and people will see more of him. Not only for Oliver's campaign but also because of Thea.
Earlier "Arrow" season 4 spoiler revealed Davis is a potential love interest for the sister of the Emerald Archer. However, that might be at the expense of her stint as part of Team Arrow. Speedy will face a decision of choosing between protecting people of Star City or choosing a normal life.
"For Thea, Alex represents a shot at a normal life," executive producer Wendy Mericle told The Hollywood Reporter as recap of "Arrow" season 4 episode 5.
"We want to explore Thea's world, not just her bloodlust but also being a superhero and being a vigilante by night and a so-called normal person by day. It's very reminiscent of the season one story we explored with Oliver. Alex is a really good guy, and the kind of guy she would have never dated normally. The fact that she's going to fall for him speaks not only to what a great guy he is but also the fact that she's going to have to make a choice: being a superhero or living a normal life. Or can she do both?"
