John Constantine has successfully returned Sarah Lance's soul to her body when the supernatural detective guest-starred in "Arrow" season 4 episode called "Haunted."
Matt Ryan reprise his role from the now-cancelled NBC comic book TV series on the CW show and fans rallied to support him in hopes that "Constantine" will find a new home.
Constantine successfully helped return Sarah to Team Arrow and now, his fans wants his show to return, too.
Almost one week after his appearance in "Arrow" season 4 episode 5, the Hellblazer character's fans launched a new petition for "Constantine" season 2 targeting networks like El Rey, The CW, Netflix, Yahoo Screen, and the USA Network.
"The dark supernatural TV series Constantine originally aired on NBC for one 13 episode season only to be cancelled. This left a very strong and avid fanbase without any network for their show to call home. Constantine needs to be saved by another network to give the fans closure. This situation would be a win for both sides. The network to pick it up will receive a boost in ratings and revenue while the fans will be able to see their beloved show live once more," the "Save Constantine" petition at Change.org reads.
The campaign also cites "Arrow" season 4 episode 5's rise in ratings as one of the reasons why "Constantine" season 2 should happen.
"On November 4th, 2015, it was proved that the Constantine fan base is still very much alive as evidenced by the reception to the character's appearance on the 5 episode of Arrow's fourth season," it said.
"We encourage you to sign this petition to show the various networks available to pick this show up that there is in fact interest for the show to live on."
Confirmation that "Constantine" season 2 will not happen was sent out by NBC on May of this year.
Series developer David S. Goyer and Daniel Cerone tried to find it a new home but no one adopted it.
