Expect Less Of Loki's Role In 'Thor 3: Ragnarok' As Tom Hiddleston Talks About His Desire To Come Back Again

With "Thor 3: Ragnarok" release date all set on July 28, 2017, fans are clamoring to hear news about Tom Hiddleston's Loki character.

Following the cliffhanger ending of "Thor: The Dark World," many are now wondering what they could expect of the villian in the upcoming "Thor" sequel.

While Marvel has yet to release an official statement regarding Tom Hiddleston's character, Kpopstarz noted that fans should expect less of Loki in "Thor 3."

In fact the publication reported that Hiddleston could appear only as cameo in "Ragnarok."

The 34-year-old English hunk even admitted that he has no knowledge on Marvel's plans for his character in the future.

In an interview with Coming Soon, Hiddleston said that he's not sure if he'll be able to play the role of Loki again.

"I don't know," Tom Hiddleston told Coming Soon.

"I think I won't be able to help it if I ever play him again, and I just don't know when that's gonna happen, if that's gonna happen. I would never lose his dimension, but it's so interesting. I've talked with Chris Hemsworth, how those characters have changed as we've changed. It's five years ago since I played him for the first time. That's a long time ago. So who knows what I'll be cooking up."

In fact, Hiddleston is uncertain if fans would want to see him return as Loki in "Thor 3."

"I never quite know whether people want to see him again or whether people want to move on," Hiddleston explained.

"I can't really take the temperature on it. It's so difficult, because if it did happen again, I would try not to repeat myself. I would try to do something new."

Cinema Blend added that fans should really not expect anything big from Loki in "Ragnarok."

"I honestly don't think fans should prepare to see Loki return to central villain form in Thor: Ragnarok," the publication explained. "Instead, he'll probably be back in a strong supporting position while the role of "Big Bad" gets handed off to none other than Josh Brolin's Thanos."

And while fans are still waiting for Tom Hiddleston's fate in Marvel Cinematic Universe, the upcoming Thor 3" movie is reportedly going to set the stage for "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & 2."

Accordingly, Thanos' determination to get a hold of all the Infinity gems will lead to Asgard's doom, causing Thor to be locked up in a "galactic prison," causing the Avengers to come right into the picture.

"Thor 3: Ragnarok" release date is set on July 28, 2017.
