Fifth Harmony will be joining Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Lana Del Rey and Demi Lovato to receive distinct honor at the Billboard's Women in Music event on Dec. 11 in New York and airing on Dec. 18 on Lifetime.

Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui aka Fifth Harmony will be hailed as the Group of the Year for the 10th Annual Billboard's Women in Music. They will also perform on the event, along Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes.

Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media's Entertainment Group said, "Fifth Harmony defines the consummate group dynamic: five women with a strong, united voice and a commitment to celebrating female empowerment."

"In the few short years since they formed on the 'X-Factor' this diverse group of women has managed to make chart-topping music, develop a legion of passionate fans around the world and use their platform to promote self-esteem. They do it all so well, the very definition of a 'Group of the Year,'" she added.

The 10th Billboard's Women in Music will also be giving honor to Lady Gaga as Woman of the Year, Selena Gomez as 2015's Chart Topper, Lana Del Rey as 2015's Trailblazer, Demi Lovato as 2015's Rule Breaker and Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes with the Powerhouse artist award.

Fifth Harmony is currently working on their sophomore album, which the group promised will reveal an entirely different side of them and will prove that are not "bubbly, happy girls" anymore but are "real women" already.

Their next album will be "more matured" and will feature a new sound. "This is definitely another level for us. It's a side of Fifth Harmony that no one's really seen. In the beginning, we were super happy. Our first album was very jumpy. This time, we're showing who Fifth Harmony really is behind closed doors," Fifth Harmony member Dinah Jane Hansen said in an interview.
