Twelve days after "One Life To Live" star Nathaniel Marston met a tragic car crash, Marton's family said that the actor passed away in the arms of his mother.

On Oct. 30, American actor Nathaniel Marston sustained serious injuries with a broken and fractured back, shoulder and neck, broken ribs and collapsed lung following a single car collision in Reno, Nevada, according to Mirror.

On Wednesday, Nathaniel Marston's mother, Elizabeth Jackson, took to Facebook to announce that his son has passed away after his body had stopped responding to medical treatment.

"My beloved and cherished son, Nathaniel Marston, who was putting up the good fight until last night, was not able to continue due to traumatic and devastating nature of his injuries," the soap opera star's mother wrote.

"Nathaniel passed away peacefully as I held him in my arms. Father William, myself and his second Mommy Lisa, and our dear friend Charlotte were by his bedside, he was not alone. His injuries, which doctors did their best to heal were not responding to treatment and one after another his bodily functions failed to support his life," she added.

Nathaniel Marston's mother went on saying that even if the actor survived the crash, he will be living in a bad condition, so bad that the actor himself may not be able to tolerate.

Elizabeth Jackson wrote further: "His injuries, which Dr.'s did their best to heal were not responding to treatment and one after another his bodily functions failed to support his life. Had Nathaniel lived he would have required a ventilator and would never have been able to utter one more word and would have been sentenced to life as a quadriplegic. A condition that Nate would have never have been able to tolerate. By God's love and mercy Nathaniel was spared this living hell."

Nathaniel Marston's mother went on thanking people for the prayers and support and said she would announce when the memorial service for his son would take place.
