"Bourne 5" is currently being filmed in London and latest photos revealed intense-filled scenes taken at the capital of England involving the returning actor, Matt Damon, to reprise the titular role.

In the new set photos published by Coming Soon, Matt Damon is seen pointing a gun to a man in a rooftop in an intense action sequence. Matt Damon is wearing the usual Jason Bourne get-up with a navy blue sweatshirt and a dark brown leather jacket.

The new "Bourne 5" set photos appear to have Damon as Bourne getting answers to a question from a man in an interrogation and confrontation scene, where the actor is seen holding a piece of paper and pushing the man towards the edge of a building's rooftop.

Coming Soon, in its report, confirmed that "Bourne 5" will not feature a crossover between Matt Damon's Jason Bourne and Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross. Franchise newcomer Vincent Cassell will be playing the movie's lead antagonist, an assassin who will be chasing down Jason Bourne. Another newcomer will be Tommy Lee Jones, who is rumored to be playing the role of a high-ranking CIA official although it is not yet clear if he would be playing the bad guy or the good guy. Among the newcomers are Riz Ahmed and Scott Shepherd.

Accordingly, returning to the franchise is Julia Stiles who will be reprising her role with Ex Machina and Alicia Vikander.

On the other hand, the plot of "Bourne 5" is still under the wraps although in a previous interview with BuzzFeed, Matt Damon revealed that the film, which will be primarily shot in Europe, will be set at a post-Snowden world.

"Without giving too much of it away, it's Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world. It seems like enough has changed, you know? There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy," Damon said.

"Bourne 5" will be helmed by "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum" director Paul Greengrass. It will be produced Frank Marshall alongside Jeffrey Weiner of Captivate Entertainment, Greengrass, Damon and Greg Goodman. It will be released on July 29, 2016.
