"Gravity Falls" Season 2 is nearing the finale and 'Weirdmageddon' has begun, the second preview for "Weirdmageddon 2: Escape from Reality" is already released and it promised that things are just about to get weirder!
"Weirdmaggedon 2: Escape from Reality" is set to feature Dipper and the gang are about to enter the prison bubble in attempt to free Mabel from the diabolical trap created by Bill Cipher.
Movie Pilot, in its report, theorized that the prison bubble may just be an illusion according to the hints and symbolisms seen in the past episodes and the latest previews. According to the report, 'Gravity Falls' creator Alex Hirsch likes to use symbols, which are crucial in giving hints for the twists happening in the future episodes of the animated series.
In its analysis of the latest preview for "Weirdmageddon 2: Escape from Reality," Movie Pilot noted that Mabel is wearing her favorite sweater with the shooting star print. The twins, Mabel and Dipper, have been closely associated with two symbols, respectively: the shooting star and the pine tree (which Bill Cipher calls Dipper). Mabel's bubble had also been branded the shooting star.
The latest preview, accordingly, shows that Mabel is wearing her favorite shooting star sweater inside the bubble but looking back in S02E17, she was not wearing this when she was captured by Bill Bipher. This may mean that Mabel in the prison bubble is not the 'real Mabel' and is imprisoned somewhere else. The prison bubble, therefore, may be an illusion and a trick after all and Dipper and the gang may be walking into a trap!
Meanwhile, former "Today Show" host Jon Stewart is set to guest in "Weirdmageddon 2: Escape from Reality" as Judge Kitty Kitty Meow Meow Face-Shwartstein. Creator Alex Hirsch said in an interview that the feline judge will be appearing in Mabel's mind.
"Gravity Falls S02E19 Weirdmageddon 2: Escape from Reality" will air on Nov. 23.
