With Release Date All Set 'Gears Of War 4' Ready To Introduce Two New Characters!

Nov 24, 2015 11:10 PM EST | By Sherylyn Toda

While there has been no official announcement to the exact release date of "Gears of War 4" yet, Trusted Reviews confirmed that the highly anticipated game is going to be launched at Q4 of 2016.

"Gears of War 4 is set for release in Q4 of 2016," the publication confirmed. "That means that the next Gears of War game is going to drop somewhere between September and December of next year."

And with the release date seemingly all set, Christian Today reported that the game will be introducing two new characters.

A man named JD will reportedly take over the franchise after Marcus Fenix's exit.

He will reportedly be accompanied by a female named Kait.

Marcus Fenix, who bade his farewell in "GOW 3," will reportedly be replaced by a man named JD and his female companion named Kait.

"You look at someone in, say, 20 years of age, and there is still much to develop. There is a greater opportunity. The impact of the game on the character may be higher," he said in an article at MyTechBits.com.

Meanwhile, IGN was able to talk to Rod Fergusson, who revealed that "Gears of War 4" will return to its roots.

"We're going back to something personal, intimate, dark, and mysterious, being afraid of the boogeyman," he told IGN.

"The stories have changed a lot from 10 years ago," he said. "Back in the day people expected stories to be black and white, there's good and bad. Today, people want a lot of grey, a lot moral ambiguity, things that are open to interpretation about what's right and wrong."

Meanwhile, Kenny McDonnell of Movie Pilot has compared "Halo 5" from the upcoming "Gears of War 4."

In his article, McDonnell is confident that "GOW 4" is going to be more exciting as compared to "Halo 5."

McDonnell and his team attended the Gamescom in Köln, Germany, where they were given a chance to try out upcoming games including "Halo 5" and "Metal Gear Solid V."

Upon trying out "Halo 5," McDonnell assessed that it was disappointingly underwhelming.

"At Gamescom we had the opportunity to try out some multiplayer matches with Halo 5 and they were surprisingly underwhelming."

Now he claimed that he is looking forward to "Gears of War 4's" release date more than "Halo 5."

"But there was another game that I found to be particularly underwhelming and that was Halo 5. After Gamescom, the Xbox One exclusive that I'm looking forward to the most now is Gears of War 4," he said.
