Holly Holm's Next Fight Might Not Be Against Ronda Rousey; Who Will It Be?

Holly Holm - Ronda Rousey rematch fight? Not too fast.

There is a chance second edition of this year's biggest UFC-MMA event might not happen soon. Not only because Rousey is still under lengthy medical suspension but also because there is another fighter Holm's camp might agree a deal with.

Coach of the current Bantamweight championship said Cris Cyborg can also be the next opponent for the 28-year old Holm.

"Cris 'Cyborg' is just incredible with her strength and with what she can so", Holm's coach Mike Winkeljohn told talkingbrawlsmma.com. "I don't know if she can make the weight at 135 pounds yet. She's got a lot of holes in her game, a lot of craziness. That girl is so strong, so we'd have to be worried about it. But Holly would fight her in a heartbeat."

This development makes it harder for the Holly Holm - Ronda Rousey rematch fight to happen.

For her part, Holly Holm said she is open to battling other opponents in the octagon, even Cyborg.

"I'm open to opportunities," she told ESPN's MMA Live days before the interview on his coach. "Each fight is it's own, and as they come I just take the challenge. So I'm open with that. Cyborg, she is very tough. Actually, her and I have become friends. Really, I'd have to put the friends thing aside in order to fight, because she's a pretty unique individual. I'm a fan of her."

Talks of a Holly Holm - Ronda Rousey rematch fight dominated sports discussions right after the former's knockout victory last two weeks ago. In fact, it was Holm herself who offered the fallen MMA fighter a chance for revenge.

"I think a rematch makes sense for sure," the 34-year-old said during the post fight conference. "I've been on the losing side of a fight (in boxing), and I wanted a rematch. I wanted to avenge my loss. With a champion like Ronda, who's gone out of her way and gone above and beyond to do great things, absolutely, she deserves a rematch. I don't look at this fight and think I've made it. I think I've still got some things to do."
