Is Eva Mendes now ready to return to the hit car chase adventure franchise, "Fast & Furious" for its eighth installment?

After her successful appearance in "2 Fast 2 Furious" in 2003 alongside the late actor Paul Walker as secret agent Monica Fuentes, speculations of Mendes reprising her role grow rampant.

While the "Ghost Rider" actress has yet to comment on her involvement to "Fast & Furious 8," Breathecast claimed that there are already a number of publications verifying the reports.

Apparently, secret agent Monica Fuentes is going to "stir up" the relationship of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez).

And while Eva Mendes is not talking about "Fast & Furious 8" in public, Jason Statham, who was introduced in the previous film as new villain Deckard Shaw, has reportedly confirmed his involvement in the eighth film.

"We're already talking about doing another one, part eight," Statham told Access Hollywood. "I'm a newcomer. I just got invited to the party in this last one, so it's nice to know I'm going to be doing another."

Elsewhere, original cast member Michelle Rodriguez claimed that following the death of Paul Walker, the next film is going to be dedicated to him.

In an interview with People, Rodriguez explained how the sequel will pay tribute to the late actor.

"[Paul] wanted to bring it back down to the core, which is the racing," Rodriguez revealed. "He was always complaining about the special effects and the blue screens."

She also promised that "Fast & Furious 8" will steer clear away from the "exaggerated explosions and crazy plot lines," trying to remain "true to Paul's wishes."

The 37-year-old actress also found time to explain what Vin Diesel was talking about when he said that the next film will be true to "car audience."

"I think that's what Vin [Diesel] meant when [he said] his main focus on the next one will be trying to keep it true to that car audience," she said. "Hopefully we'll be able to do that cause it's gotten bigger than ever and you know we also have to stay true to that so it'll be a challenge."

"Fast and Furious 8" release date is already schedules on April 14, 2017.
