DJ Earworm's latest "United States of Pop" mashup dubbed as "50 Shades of Pop" has been released, comprising of 50 hits that defined the year 2015.

This year, Jordan Roseman aka DJ Earworm included 50 hit singles of 2015 in his latest five-minute "United States of Pop" mashup, which is double the number of music that DJ Earworm usually includes in his annual mix.

"I try to get a feel of what is in the zeitgeist," DJ Earworm told Billboard, talking about the process he does in choosing which songs to include in his mashup. "Music has been going through a softer phase than it was a few years ago so there's that return of adult contemporary. That's maybe represented by the Ellie Goulding track, it's very lush and soft. And then there's sort of retro, uptempo dance stuff, and that's represented by The Weeknd track."

DJ Earworm started producing the "United States of Pop" mashup in 2007, where he combines the biggest hits annually, usually the Top 25 tunes for each year. This year, according to Billboard, "50 Shades of Pop" debuted at No. 4 via the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart.

"It's a more eclectic mix than it was five years ago," DJ Earworm described this year's mix. He added that Adele's Hello made the cut because "it wouldn't be a year in summary without her."

What other hits made the cut this year? Part of the five-minute mega-mix are The Weeknd's "Earned It" and Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do," which are thematic to this year's "50 Shades of Pop," based on the blockbuster hit, "50 Shades of Grey."

Other singles that made it to the 2015 "United States of Pop" mashup were Justin Bieber's "Sorry," "Where Are U Now," and "What Do You Mean?," The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face," Drake's "Hotline Bling," Meghan Trainor's "Lips Are Movin" plus her and John Legend's "Like I'm Gonna Lose You," Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," Maroon 5's "Sugar," Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk," Ed Sheeran's "Thinkin' Out Loud," and many others.
