One Direction Get ‘Emotional’ On Last U.S. Show Before Group’s Hiatus; Zayn Malik Sentimental About It?

Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, collectively known as One Direction, performed their last on Friday's night iHeartRadio Jingle Ball at the Staples Center in Los Angeles before their extended hiatus.

"To be honest with you, this show is kind of an important one for us," Liam Payne told the crowd (via E! Online) in the sold-out show, where they performed their hits "Perfect," Drag Me Down," and "What Makes You Beautiful." "This is going to be the last time for a little while. I feel myself getting a little emotional."

Before performing their last song, One Direction once again thanked their supportive fans, whom they said were always there since they were introduced in "X-Factor UK."

"This is the song that made our American dreams come true," Liam Payne said, referring to their massive hit single, "Story of My Life."

"We will see you very soon," Payne finally said before they performed.

Meanwhile, a report by Elite Daily revealed that at the same time that One Direction was performing their last before their impending hiatus, former band group member Zayn Malik retweeted a Vine from 2014, which may imply that Malik is also getting a little sentimental (or guilty) about 1D's final show.

The retweet in question, with the caption "you don't f-k with 1d b-ch," was a Vine in 2014 in which Tyler the Creator chastised a radio host for "not fucking with 1D." The report added that the original post having meant that Tyler the Creator liked One Direction and retweeting it may mean that Zayn Malik is sending his band love for his former group.

Apparently, the retweet had fans going nuts and immediately speculated about a possible reconciliation between 1D and Zayn Malik.

"You can take Zayn out of 1D but you can't take 1D out of Zayn," one fan tweeted.
