'Empire' Season 2 Return Spoiler: Jamal Could Be In Danger With His Father Lucius Targeting Him

"Empire" is currently on a break and it left fans at the edge of their seats through its latest episode.

There are a lot of storyline audiences should have their eyes glued on when "Empire" season 2 returns. There is Jamal's kiss with Skye Summers (Alicia Keys), Mimi and Camilla, Hakeem turning his back on his family, and more.

All of these make compelling stories but none is probably scarier about Lucius (Terrence Howard) setting his sights again on Jamal (Jussie Smollett).

The mid-season finale ended with the father and son being announced as contenders for Song of the Year in the fictional ASA Award and Lucius made his son know that he really is after the award.

This is unfortunate given the fact that they started the season on the same side.

Showrunner Danny Strong says Jamal is indeed in a dangerous situation because of that last scene in "Et tu Brute."

"Everyone should be worried about who Lucious has his eye on," Strong told E! Online. "That's a dangerous guy! Remember what he did to Bunky? That was his friend! Nothing can get in Lucious' way."

"Empire" season 2 return is on March 30 and it will pick up shortly from where it left off from in the last episode. Lucius Lyon is no longer the CEO of Empire Records.

He is in desperate mode and Strong hints he will leave no stones unturned to get back to where he was before.

"The first thing they've got to deal with is Mimi and Camilla," he said. "They don't control Empire anymore. Lucious is out-there's not even a CEO anymore. This is crazy! What's going to happen? Even I don't know. That's not true, I do know."

"Empire" season 2 return is on March 30 for the 11th episode titled "Death Will Have His Day" and it will mark the arrival of another character.

"This season's 11th episode is titled "Death Will Have His Day" and marks the introduction of an "experienced grief counselor" named Devin," TV Line's Michael Ausiello wrote.

"I suck at math but even I know that 1+1 = someone's not long for this world. Oh, and in case you're wondering, this isn't that."
