There are reports that "Mr. Robot" season 2 release date is set on June of July next year. The same month it debut this 2015.

However, latest scoop says that might not be the case.

"USA has yet to set the season two premiere date," Variety wrote.

"It's likely to return in the summer but it may start a little later than season one. The show bowed June 24 on USA's linear channel although the pilot was made available for free streaming a month before on a range of platforms."

Although this latest news about "Mr. Robot" season 2 release date is a bit off, fans still have something to cheer about. Variety also reported that show's creator Sam Esmail will now helm all of the episodes of the USA Network TV series' sophomore run.

"The 'Mr. Robot' writers room is up and running in Los Angeles although the show will again be shot in New York," it said. "In a shift from season one, Esmail is expected to direct all 10 episodes of the sophomore season - a reflection of his auteur approach that made the show distinctive."

This news comes after another celebration-worthy Golden Globe Awards nominations by the show. "Mr. Robot" is nominated for 73rd Golden Globe Awards' Best Television Series - Drama Category, Best Actor for lead star Rami Malek who plays hacker Elliot Anderson, and Best Supporting Actor for Christian Slater.

Malek is also nominated at the 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Male Actor. Talking about the nomination, the actor of Egyptian decent says he feels like he is the underdog.

He is the youngest among all the nominees which include Peter Dinklage of "Game of Thrones," John Hamm of "Mad Men," Bob Odenkirk of "Better Call Saul" and Kevin Spacey of "House of Cards."

"It says a lot that I got to play a lead in this show and now I'm getting recognition for it as a nominee," he told Los Angeles Times. "I think there a lot of actors in the Screen Actors Guild who can relate to feeling like the underdog. Elliot is a guy who is deeply complicated and can go to really dark places. I'm just happy I get to see where he goes next."
