"Rainbow Siege" for Xbox One and PS4 will be receiving Hardcore playlist in 2016.
According to a recent post from Ubisoft's "Rainbow Siege" forum, main PVP playlist, Casual and Rank will be modified in the upcoming patch next week. This will allow synch back HUD casual and ranked playlists after a launch update.
Based on Open Beta feedback, HUD settings have been refined and applied "identically to both Ranked and Casual." While some settings remains the same other than HUD. It also noted that their "high priority" for 2016 is to add the Hradcore playlist.
"Current plan is to develop a full-fledged hardcore playlist (if the player base allows it). By having hardcore be its own playlist, we will have the liberty to have the hardcore experience that we want and that the community deserves. Meanwhile, players will be able to enjoy a Hardcore pre-set in Custom games," Ubisoft wrote.
The Hardcore playlist when implemented players of Casual matches will be able to try "competitive" playlist and "get a rating for their performances, without having to re-learn or re-adapt to new settings." Whereas, Ranked players may also play Casual playlist "'ladder anxiety' or just to try out a new strategy or Operator."
"By having hardcore be its own playlist, we will have the liberty to have the hardcore experience that we want and that the community deserves," the developer added on its official forum.
"We fully understand the desire for a more 'realistic' mode and want to support this at its best, without compromising the game play," Ubisoft added. "This is a priority for us in 2016."
Though Hardcore playlist has been already confirmed, its contents are being decided. Game developer considering the inclusion of a minimal HUD and mag count instead of ammo count, PS Lifestyle . reported.
