Some Xiaomi Mi 5 specs and features appear in new leaks.

Leaks of the upcoming smartphone are ramping up prior to its Jan. 21 release. The latest leaked photo from Gizmo China reveals a cut out on its front panel.

It has been said to accommodate a physical home button. And will house its fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

Reportedly, Xiaomi Mi 5 might come in a smaller screen size. Contrary to the anticipated 5.2inch screen, it may come in 5.0Imch, according to Gizmo China.

The Chinese tech blog site also noted that Xiaomi opted for an all metal chassis, and rounded edges design.

IB times added, the alleged images from Gizmo China do not reveal the smartphones resolution. However, it speculates that it might pack a full HD (1920x1080p) as this has been the new trend of latest flagship devices.

With the growing market of wireless payment on its homeland and other first-world countries. Xiaomi will finally bring NFC chipset to the Mi 5, GSM Arena reported.

The possible NFC feature comes from a document released by China UnionPay- "the sole domestic payment gateway supplier and card organization, detailing support for its newly released NFC-based payment system."

The Xiaomi Mi 5 has been listed on the 32 devices for the "Cloud Lightning Pay" more likely the Android Pay.

As for Xiaomi Mi 5 specs, it will be powered by Snapdragon 820 paired with 4GB of RAM and internal storage is said to be non-expandable.

Also, it will be equipped with Force Touch or 3D Touch pressure sensitive technology. However, its battery is expected to be powered by a less than 3,000 mah.

Going by on Xiaomi Mi 5 rumored features, its camera will boast an autofocus, optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash features and a 6MP secondary camera, PC tablet reported.
