Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello has been linked to each other for some time now but the alleged couple keep on insisting that they're just close friends.
Could they eventually start liking each other as more than friends soon?
According to the singers, it won't be happening anytime soon, even with the crazy chemistry they shared in "I Know What You Did Last Summer."
"We are just friends," the "Stitches" singer told Entertainment Weekly in an interview, insisting that they're "not dating."
"Yeah, we're just friends," the Fifth Harmony vocalist reiterated. "He's like, one of my best friends. He's amazing."
The site couldn't help but notice, however, that they kept on "flirting with each other" adorably from across the room as they did their interviews.
"I'm trying to do an interview over here, OK?!" the Canadian teen sensation shouted at his collaboration partner.
Although the kept denying any kind of romantic connection with each other, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello did admit that they did try to tease the line between love and friendship.
Mendes previously revealed to host James Cordon that he had tried to "make a move" on the "Worth It" singer to failed results.
"Every time I try to make a move she swerves me off," he shared, to which Cabello adamantly insisted that he was the one who "friendzoned" her.
"He calls me kid!" the 18-year-old cried out, adding that Mendes actually "never made a move" on her.
Seventeen Magazine, on the other hand, thought they're already in love with each other but still haven't noticed it yet. The reportedly look "electric" on stage. They couldn't keep their eyes off each other for the entire performance at Jingle Bell tour in Dallas earlier this month.
