Just lately, the teaser/trailer for "Godzilla: Resurgence" has been released and it's all about the return to the character's monstrous origins.

Gareth Edwards brought the Japanese iconic character "Godzilla" back to the big screen a year and a half ago and now fans of the movie will have to wait for two and a half years before the sequel will come out.

The trailer of TOHO's "Godzilla: Resurgence" has been released as well as its firs poster at The Film Stage.

However, it has been reported by Oceanside Post that "Resurgence" will be the studio's 29th film about the infamous Japanese monster with fiery breath and a very weird hobby of taking down Tokyo.

The trailer, which was released on Wednesday, shows that the movie will be shown in a documentary style, according to Telegraph Standard.

Ever since the announcement of "Resurgence," those who are behind the project have kept on stating that the film seeks to go back to the origin of Godzilla as a nuclear metaphor and a force of destruction to reckon with. Or not.

The trailer may also serve as a clue to the film's story line, as it appears that will not only take down the city of Tokyo but it has also leveled up by trying to destroy the entire nation.

Some critics have already praised the trailer, saying that the should sign up if it will be the kind of heart-pumping action that they will expect from a Godzilla movie by TOHO.

"This is very good timing after the success of the American version this year: if not now, then when?"

CG technology is said to be applied on the film as to create the "most terrifying" Godzilla movie ever.

In the trailer, the new Godzilla movie will be starred by Hasegawa Hiroki and Ishihara Satomi (both starred in "Attack On Titan") alongside Takenouchi.

The release of movie in Japan will be on Jul. 29, 2016.
