The competition between Huawei and Xiaomi takes into the international market. Reportedly, Huawei will also enter the US market.

After Xioami's Mi 4 passed the FCC certification, Huawei releasing its latest flagship in the US too, WSJ
reported.

"We have already seized a leading position in the Chinese [smartphone] market. We hope that in the U.S. we can achieve the same success," Huawei Deputy Chairman Ken Hu said in a recent interview

According to GSM Arena , Huawei Mate 8 is ready to hit the market after CES 2016. The flagship device was announced back in China last month.

The Chinese phone manufacturer said in a statement more details of its international release will be detailed at CES next year.

Like the leaked Xiaomi Mi 4, its FCC document did not reveal sufficient details about the Huawei Mate 8 aside from its model number NX-L09.

The Huawei Mate 8 US version is expected to pack the same specs and features of its original variant. It is one of the first few Android 6.0 Marshmallow based phone. Also, it boasts an enormous 6.0 FHD IPS display.

Under the hood, it is powered by Huawei's very own Kirin 950 SoC, with four high-power Cortex-A72 cores, clocked at up to 2.3 GHz and an additional four power-saving Cortex-A53 ones at 1.8 GHz. Its powerful processor is being paired with a Mali T880MP4 GPU.

When announced back in November, the Huawei Mate 8 comes into two memory options of 3GB RAM with 32GB and 4GB with64GB, and 4GB with 128GB.

As for its camera, the primary camera has Sony's latest IMX298 16MP sensor and an 8MP front camera.

In addition, Huawei will also showcase Honor 5X, and a new smartwatch at the CES. These two products will be on released along with Huawei Mate 8, according to WSJ.
