Following his announcement of filing a lawsuit for his ghostwriting claims against his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj, Safaree Samuels has since then made songs mentioning the "Anaconda" rapper; and in a recent interview, Samuels expressed his interest on collaborating with Drake which had fans speculating that both rappers may be working on a diss track for Minaj and her current boyfriend, Meek Mill.

The Inquisitr, in its report, said that Safaree Samuels praised Drake for his "Back to Back" track in a recent interview with hip-hop community, "This is 50."

"The beat, everything about it... that was the most impactful record of the year," Safaree Samuels said in the interview, saying that Drake's "Back to Back" diss track for Meek Miil is an "incredible piece." Samuels added that he is a huge fan of the track and that he is open to collaborate with Drake in the future.

Samuels, however, admitted that for now, the collaboration remains unlikely because of Drake's closeness to Minaj.

"I'm definitely open to it, but I don't think that would happen... just on his account," Samuels said.

"[Drake's] neutral just as far as his issue is just straight on who it's with," Samuels added, referring to Drake's feud with Meek Mill. "No matter what, [Drake] is not gonna be saying nothing about [Nicki], that's why in the record he didn't say nothing about her."

In a separate interview with The Breakfast Club earlier this week, Samuels also opened up about his issues with Nicki Minaj. When asked about the lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, the rapper said (via Baller Status), "If you worked at a radio station for a year, then at the end of the year, you just got [cut throat gesture]... you did the work and all of that and the station is still doing their thing and making their bread."

And about being named as Executive Producer on Nicki Minaj's projects, he said, "It's like a shoutout, pretty much... What's right is right."

Last month, Samuels asked for a share of income from the successful albums and singles of Minaj, claiming to be Minaj's ghostwriter.
