New Microsoft Xbox One Boss to Focus on Core Gamers

Phil Spencer is the new man in charge of Microsoft's Xbox One game console.

Spencer, a veteran executive at Xbox aims to focus on consumers who game the most in his new role Game Spot reported Monday.

"Xbox One is our most important gaming asset to date. [We want to] make sure we're completely focused on that gaming customer, that core gaming fan," Spencer told Game Spot "Making sure of that, that's what I'm going to bring to this position is a focus on gaming for Xbox One. The entertainment features that we have on Xbox One are important, but those can't come at a cost for what we do for the core gamer," Spencer told Game Spot.

Additional information on how the change in direction was not available, but the future appears to be promising starting with E3 2014 in the summer months.

"I'm looking at the E3 line-up and it's incredibly strong both with sequels and new IP, unannounced things," Spencer told Game Spot.

The Xbox One has an improved kinect sensor, which enables players to operate the device just by talking Gamereactor reported. Individuals can also connect the console to their satellite television equipment in order to watch TV, and flip back and forth between gaming, and viewing shows.

According to the New Straits Times, Microsoft has also enhanced the quality of graphics on its Microsoft Xbox Next Generation game console, improved how gamers play online, and interact with other people in its release at the beginning of the month.

Video game community platform Twitch is also available on the game console, along with fighting game Titanfall.

According to Zeenews, the Xbox One game console is soon to arrive in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland,. Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates come September.
